Welcome to the Ashton Hayes Parish Council Website

For news on our carbon neutral project and our community electric car club visit our project website

We are eleven elected councillors who work together to represent the views of our community of approximately 1000 people. Our beautiful village is located at the foot of a distinctive sandstone ridge, six miles east of the historic City of Chester (see map).

We believe that we are a happy, well knit and thriving community - a place where people want to live and bring up children. As a Parish Council we try to represent the democratic view of the community to other communities and to Chester City and County Councils. We also try to ensure new planning proposals meet the aspirations of residents and also work hard to protect and enhance the environment and community in which we live.

Each month we invite residents and interested parties to come to our public meetings, which are held in the Parish Rooms, West End, on the first Monday of each month. Please come along and share your views with us.

On this website you will find all you need to know about Parish Council meetings and notices and a list of contacts if you'd like to get in touch with us.

We welcome visitors to our village and have now included some details of local camp sites, self catering and hotels on our Going Carbon Neutral website.

Kind regards

from Jane Colville (Chair) and all the Parish Councillors
