Invitation to enter the Food Lovers recipe competition.

Reducing food waste is a major issue and not just about good food going to waste. Wasting food costs the average family with children £680 a year and has serious environmental implications too

To celebrate the start of our local Love Food Hate Waste 2010 campaign, Cheshire West and Chester Council, in conjunction with Dee Radio and the Chester Chronicle, has launched a competition for Cheshire West and Chester residents to find the best recipes, made from food that you might find in the back of the cupboard or in the fridge.

We want you to send us your favourite recipe. It might, for example, include leftovers such as old pasta, unused bread or wilting fruit vegetables- providing a new lease of life as they are transformed into starters, mains or desserts.

For instructions on how to enter our competition and to find out about the fantastic prizes on offer, please see our Food Lovers recipe competition poster visit: cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk, or call 0300 123 7 026 for an application form.

Our Food Lovers recipe competition poster can be downloaded and printed for you to use in your Parish Council notice board or community rooms.

COMMUNITY SHOP OPENS 25 JAN!

ASHTON HAYES AND MOULDSWORTH COMMUNITY SHOP will be open week commencing 25th January.
Please support your community shop by coming along to see what changes we have made!
