Tragic accident at Ashton Lane/A54: PC concerns sent to MP

The Parish Council were very saddened at the news of the tragic accident on Monday 7th November at the junction of the A54 and Ashton Lane. This is not the first accident to happen here and we agreed to write a letter to our Member of Parliament drawing her attention to the very worrying situation and the level of concern there is. The letter which was emailed to her this week is here for your information. If you feel sufficiently concerned to write yourself by all means feel able to use some of the facts contained but please don`t send what essentially will be a copy of it as it would be discounted .

You can contact your MP very easily by googling WriteToThem and then going in on the first link on that list. There are simple instructions to follow and once the e`mail is sent you will receive confirmation  of this.

Vote for Opal's 'Go Online' to help people learn

We would be very grateful if you could vote for our RCS/ Opal Services Go On Line project. This enables us to offer a service which helps older people to become confident and competent in using communication technology which can open up so many doors for them .

The voting process is relatively simple and we want as many local people as possible to support us in this so we can obtain funding to be able to both maintain and develop the service which is proving to be very popular and effective.
