Job Vacancy CARETAKER AND BOOKING CLERK, Parish Rooms

The vacancy exists for a part-time caretaker/booking clerk to ensure that the parish rooms are maintained in a good working and clean order, to open and secure the building before and after selected bookings and to allow access to the building as and when required; and to maintain a booking diary and process all charges for lettings. The successful candidate should have basic booking-keeping skills. The caretaker would be expected to locked the building after all bookings, the successful candidate so ideally should live in the locality.

BBC TV News to broadcast live from Ashton Hayes

The Government launches its new White Paper on Climate Change on Wednesday 15th July and to mark the occasion BBC TV News has decided to report from the village all day, every hour. Lots of people will be interviewed about climate change and what they are doing to combat it in the village. The BBC are coming along in a van powered by used oil from King Louis chip shop in Tarvin!

Should be fun!
