Overwhelming support for pub purchase

A great turnout last night for the public meeting about the sale of the Golden Lion. Thanks to the Primary School for hosting the event. Around 130 people came along and the vote was 99% in favour of the community trying to buy the pub via a Community Benefit Society. Hugo Deynem gave a great overview of the situation.
Jane Colville, Chair of Ashton Hayes PC and Gordon Stewart of Plunkett also gave informative talks.
The audience thanked the Pub Steering Group for all their efforts (Left to Right: Hugo Deynam, Ian Dossett, Gordon Stewart (Plunkett Foundation Advisor), Ken Hartley, Trevor Scadeng, Kate Harrison, David Wilson, Garry Charnock (photographer) and Richard Kinsey (not present)).
A report of the meeting and the Proposal Survey can be found here.
